Abstract Submission Instructions and Guidelines:
Download the Whova App to your phone and/or PC and create an account if you haven't already.
Click here to go to the Abstract Submission page.
Log into your Whova account if you are not already logged in. If you stay logged into Whova, you will not have re-enter your login details in order to continue working on a draft submission.
Complete the different fields of the Abstract Submission form, adhering to character limits, where applicable. All fields marked with * are compulsory.
Click Save Draft at any point if you wish to add additional information or edit any field before submitting.
Only click Submit once you have reviewed all fields for completion and accuracy.
Kindly note:
It is the responsibility of the person who submits the abstract to ensure that the abstract has been approved by all co-authors and that all co-authors have given their permission to present the work at the SFA²F 2025 meeting.
An abstract should preferably be submitted by the presenting author, as the biographical details requested during the submission process will be associated with the abstract in the conference App and materials. If you are submitting on behalf of someone else, please provide the biographical details of the presenting author.
The Biography field is not mandatory, but you are encouraged to complete this. Any information entered here will pull through to your attendee profile in the Whova App for this meeting. You will be able to update your biography in the Whova App once the meeting page has been shared with registered attendees (a few days prior to the start of the meeting).
Character limits, where indicated, are inclusive of punctuation, spaces, and paragraph breaks.
Please contact the organizers on info@sfafmeeting.org if you need assistance with abstract submission.
Please prepare your presentation in 16:9 format.
A PowerPoint or PDF file labeled with your first and last name must be submitted to operations@sfafmeeting.org at least 24 hours before your speaking slot.
Avoid using proprietary fonts to ensure that your slides display properly. If you elect to use a non-Windows font, please make sure it is embedded, or submit a PDF file.
All presentations are typically recorded (by the organizers) and archived for use on the SFA²F website and/or sites managed by the SFA²F organizers, including social media. If you do not want your talk recorded or shared publicly, please indicate this prior to the meeting. If some of your slides contain proprietary or sensitive information, you may submit a second version without this content for public use.
If you do not want attendees to photograph your presentation or post about it on social media, please state this clearly on your first slide or at the beginning of your talk.
Posters may be prepared in portrait (recommended) or landscape format, in any size that does not exceed 4 ft x 4 ft.
Please attach your poster to your assigned poster board on the evening before the meeting, or before the Opening Session on the first day.
We kindly request that posters be left up for the entire duration of the meeting.
If you want to take your poster home, please remove it before the Closing Session on the last day. Posters left on poster boards will be discarded (i.e., cannot be mailed to you).
If you do not want attendees to photograph your poster or post about it on social media, please indicate this clearly on your poster board.
